Pre and post-filtration solutions
Pre and post-filtration solutions Gemini air filters are the result of a detailed market study, the emphasis being to provide a compact, easy to adapt unit for use with all types of machine tool. Losma's Gemini Series air filters for oil-mist, micro-mist, vapours and smoke are the result of a detailed study of market requirements.
The main emphasis being to make Gemini compact and easy to adapt for use with all types of machine tool for both pre and post-filtation applications.On-site tests have demonstrated both the efficient performance and quiet operation (54 dBA for Gemini S and 62 dBA for Gemini M).
A patented design, makes maintenance operations and filter replacement very easy.Gemini can be customised so that different combinations of filters can be used, depending on the desired efficiencies and maintenance intervals following installation.
Gemini is available in two sizes, with three standard configurations each. The S and M versions provide throughputs of 600 and 1200 m3/h respectively with filtration efficiencies from 95% up to 99,95%.
Specific solutions can be obtained by selecting different filter combinations.Depending on the type of filters selected for the required filtration efficiency it is possible to increase the maintenance intervals, adapting them to the different operating requirements.
Following installation and operating experience, filters combinations can be changed to meet specific customers needs. This can be achieved in just a few minutes by simply replacing the filters kit and without any modification to the unit.
It is possible to add an activated carbon post-filter for those applications with bad or dangerous odours and HCP.Spring, another Losma product, is a drum filter for liquid coolants.
Spring has a self-cleaning (ecological) filter adapted to meet the most varied applications found within a wide variety engineering and automotive industry sectors using machining centres, deep hole drilling, transfer, grinding and milling machines; or for machining with special tools requiring high-pressure coolant. The Spring range comprises six models capable of purifying from 20 to 300l/min of neat oil and from 50 to 900l/min of emulsion.
The degree of filtration can be customised according to the specific operational requirements and efficiency.Losma from Bergamo in Italy has directly entered the UK market and is operating under its own name with direct sales and accessory deliveries from a warehouse in the Midlands Area.Losma staff assisted the HSE in the preparation of the latest Guidance in Metal Working Fluids and the road show launch around the UK on behalf of the Manufacturing Technologies Association.
