Heidenhain at Autosport
Heidenhain GB returns to Autosport Engineering for the third consecutive year following the success of 2006 and 2005 and the reception that its products received from the motorsport sector.
‘The visitor profile at Autosport Engineering includes many engineering companies that are users of Heidenhain CNC controls, digital readouts, CNC probes and gauging systems,’ says Malcolm Smith, Managing Director, Heidenhain GB. ‘To reflect this, our stand at Autosport Engineering will include more CNC related products as well as information on our digital readouts and extensive range of encoders and measurement related products.’
Another factor influencing Heidenhain’s decision to continue its presence at the show is the increasing number of machine tool companies exhibiting. Heidenhain is able to provide the visitor with expert advice on its controls that can often be seen on other exhibitors’ machines. Away from the exhibition Heidenhain’s controls are found on many of the CNC machine tools used by autosport engineering companies, including Formula One teams such as Renault, Williams and Redbull. The Heidenhain TNC control, in particular, is popular with companies in the autosport sector due to its flexible nature, full feature list and easy integration with off line programming systems.
Completing the display at Autosport Engineering will be a selection of Heidenhain’s range of digital readouts and gauges. These include the ND780 digital readout, which can be applied to manual milling machines and lathes and the numerous gauges are suitable for a variety of applications, including cam and crankshaft measurement.
