TaeguTec awarded AS:9100
TaeguTec has acquired the quality management system standard AS: 9100, the standard for manufacturing and servicing of aerospace components from DNV (DET NORSKE VERITAS).
AS: 9100 encompasses the demands of ISO: 9001 as well as the aerospace industry standard ISO: 2000. The quality management system requires a high degree of stability and reliability in the aerospace industry and TaeguTec meets the requirements of the standard with its high quality advanced technology production methods. In the case of aerospace components, strict quality inspection procedures are necessary to produce finished products at an exceptionally high quality level, as failure to produce impeccable quality can deliver fatal results.
Major aerospace manufacturers in the USA found it increasingly difficult to achieve the quality assurance standards required by the FAA’ legal demands whilst also complying with ISO: 9001. It was for these reasons that aerospace manufacturers & major US contractors developed the internationally recognised AS: 9000, which has since been taken on board in the UK, France, Germany and China with Japan also following suit with the standard now internationally recognised as AS: 9001.
AS: 9100 is the only globally recognised standard for the aerospace industry and following the initial uptake by Boeing and Airbus, the standard has since become the worldwide standard for the industry.
